Who we are:

We are a Nigerian company whose main focus is promoting and providing play based programs for children and support for children with developmental delays. For more than a decade we have worked with lots of children (most with developmental delays) and we have discovered from our work that every child develops optimally when exposed to developmentally appropriate play based programs. We have also identified a great need in our society to create awareness and evolve programs in the area of children’s play. The current day challenge for safety, urban land patterns, traffic and the need for early acquisition of academic skills have become threats to the value given to childhood play in our society today.

What we do:

Play Smart Concepts is divided into 3 sections and these are:

1. Advocacy for play (providing trainings on play for parents, teachers, caregivers, therapist and other professionals) in partnership with government, non-governmental organizations and cooperate organizations.
2. Provide play based programs for schools (particularly pre and primary schools) with emphasis on learning readiness
3. Provide support in form of therapy for children with developmental delays

What we’ve done:

Recently we co-sponsored a research done by a German occupational therapist doing her masters in the UK and we were acknowledged by her university (London metropolitan university) on their website. https://bit.ly/3EFijnv

We have also co-sponsored (with Punuka Foundation) and sponsored workshops on how to work with children with special needs and the value of play in childhood.
